SCHOOLS: Facilitating creative movement inspired by the curriculum.
|
The Creative Transitions schools project is working with eleven local artists to explore wellbeing themes with children as part of their transition back into schools. The project will include drama, dance, graffiti and craft making.
A scheme of work has been developed in collaboration with Rachel Goodall (Red Tent Theatre) that will use drama, dance, graffiti and craft making to explore well being themes inspired by Charlie Mackesy’s ’The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, & The Horse’. The project focus on complimenting specific PSHE targets and will be implicit in enabling a safe, creative space that can start the conversations around emotional well being.
The project is part of the Crowdfund appeal made by Pamodzi in June and has also been supported by the National Education Union & Teachers Group Education Trust & The Partnership Portsmouth with consultation from The Portsmouth Teaching Alliance and Portsmouth City Council Education Services.

Pamodzi creatives also works with both the Portsmouth & Southampton school sports partnerships delivering bespoke curriculum led dance through the Laban movement analysis framework. Delivery includes cpd training for staff. Each module considers cognitive & physical learning needs with clear assessment methods linked to movement analysis appropriate to each key stage.
Our projects have also included a partnership with The STEM ACADEMY hosting a series of online STEM Cafes.
Pamodzi also worked with the University of Portsmouth Institute of Cosmology & Gravitation developing a dance and astrophysics project that creatively interpreted Gravity & Dark Matter.
